Expansion of VoIP.ms National Routing Coverage in 29 Countries

Effective today, we are pleased to announce the addition of 29 new countries where you can place phone calls using national routing. This update allows you to use a local Caller ID number for in-country calling, thus benefiting from local calling rates and emergency service. The complete list of new countries we now cover for national routing are: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. To take advantage of national calling rates, there are a couple of requirements to keep in mind including the need to validate a number you own outside of our network or obtain a DID number from our available stock. Once you have acquired such a number and linked it to your account, you must set your Main Account Caller ID number or Sub Account Caller ID number to this specific number. By using a local Caller ID number from the same country, you will be charged local rates for your calls. If you do not use a local Caller ID number, the standard international rates will apply. Note that there are exceptions for the United States and Canada. For calls made within these countries, you can enjoy national rates without the requirement of a local Caller ID number. To find the rates for local calls in the newly added countries, please visit the Termination Rates section under the Finance menu on the Customer Portal here. We will keep building our offering as time goes by. In the meantime, international calling remains available in 150+ countries. Important Note on Emergency Services Please be aware that some countries have specific emergency service (ES) numbers that may conflict with internal extension numbers you might have set. For example, the United Kingdom has ES numbers like 101, 105, 111, 112, 119, and 999. When dialing from the UK, these ES numbers will always take priority over any conflicting internal extension numbers, ensuring that emergency calls are properly routed. If you have any questions or doubts, do not hesitate to contact our support team at [email protected] or with our live chat.
